How the head shave works
A complete razor shave brings the scalp to smooth, bare skin. At MadMen Groom-In Room we begin with warm towels and hot lather to soften hair and prepare the skin, then perform careful, even straight-razor passes across the scalp for a close, consistent finish.
The service is focused on full-head shaving rather than trimming. Barbers make measured passes to reduce irritation, rinse and re-lather as needed, and finish with a soothing towel so the result reads as a bold, polished scalp rather than an uneven or rough shave.
Technique, tools, and safety
The Head Shave uses traditional straight-razor technique paired with hot lather and warm towels to prepare the skin. Barbers take even, methodical passes; this control is what produces the smooth surface clients request without aggressive scraping.
Barbers assess scalp condition before shaving and adjust pressure, pass count, and lathering for sensitive skin or existing irritation. If you have scars, recent sunburn, or scalp concerns, telling your barber allows them to adapt technique and pace for greater comfort.

Head Shave is $50 and scheduled for 30 MINUTES. We serve Northwest Houston near Hwy 6 and the Addicks area (77084) with convenient access from Beltway 8, making it practical for commuters from Cypress, Katy, Jersey Village, and Spring to drop in before or after work.
